Onkyo Tx-sr607, Very satisfied with the product, ordered from Amazon and received this receiver for 2 days for $ 379. Best price anywhere, fast delivery, I will continue to shop at Amazon. The 607 has 5 HDMI connections make it perfect for hi-def TV, Blu-ray and hi-def future connections.Ran HDMI OUT to TV and cable box [view cable], Blu-ray HDMI and it works like a charm. Default settings used for cable and Blu-ray. The remote is a bit 'hard with on / off capability that I have to go back to the manual for proper set-up.Have Harmony One entry, so do not spend a lot of time with this feature. Can also automatically set speaker feature Audyssey, but have not done that I still use HTIB speakers that I'm going to update soon.Like the capabiliyy to run my external speakers via the receiver. Now I can get rid of a race / b switch.This receiver seems a little 'hot, as others have pointed out, and I have mine in a container that has a glass door, which I keep open. Wife does not particularly care for it. Could be the HTIB speakers that are 4 and 6 ohms.
Overall, I recommend this receiver for them to start with a home theater set-up as I am.
